Traditions of America Wins Eight Best of 55+ Housing Awards at NAHB’s 2018 International Builders’ Show

Radnor, PA – February 13, 2018 – The National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) presented Traditions of America with eight Best of 55+ Housing awards during the 2018 International Builder’s Show (IBS) in Orlando, FL. Active adult homebuilders from all over the country gathered for a ceremony on Tuesday, January 9 in which Traditions of America collected three GOLD and five SILVER awards for marketing, design and lifestyle excellence in the nation’s most prestigious active adult housing awards competition. “Receiving this type of recognition is always an honor and something we are very proud of at Traditions of America,” said Jay Goldberg, Vice President of Marketing. “We are always thinking of ways in which we can exceed the expectations of today’s 55-and-over homebuyer. It is a true team effort, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who has been involved in helping Traditions of America continue to ensure we help our homeowners Live Better.” This is the fifth time in the past six years that Pennsylvania’s leading developer of active adult communities has led the nation in recognition during the NAHB’s Best of 55+ Housing Awards. Company executives collected the following awards at IBS 2018:

GOLD AWARDS • Best 55+ Detached Home 2,501-3,000 Sq. Ft.: The Hancock at Traditions of America at Summer Seat • Best 55+ Sales or Marketing Event: Pinnacle at Adams Model Home Grand Opening • Best 55+ Direct Mail: Pinnacle at Adams Information Sessions

SILVER AWARDS • Best 55+ For-Sale Community Up to 200 Homes: Pinnacle at Adams • Best 55+ Outdoor Lifestyle Amenity: Pinnacle at Adams • Best 55+ Detached Home Over 3,000 Sq. Ft.: The Hancock at Pinnacle at Adams • Best 55+ For Sale Community on the Boards: Traditions of America at Cranberry • Best 55+ Sales or Welcome Center: Traditions of America at Saucon Valley

In a telling statistic, four of the eight awards Traditions of America received were for efforts for their newest community, Pinnacle at Adams. The organization took an innovative approach with Pinnacle at Adams and deviated from other Traditions of America locations in the past by forgoing the resort-style amenities that are a staple in those communities. Instead, they chose to accentuate the opportunities presented by the abundance of natural amenities the Pittsburgh community provides. It is a decision that has paid off – in less than a year the community has sold nearly all of its 55 homesites with fewer than 10 remaining. Traditions of America strives to continue leading the way in quality and innovation in 55+ homebuilding. With four more communities opening soon throughout Pennsylvania and additional communities slated to be developed in Richmond, Virginia and Columbus, Ohio, the organization will be offering even more choices for active adults to Live Better and build the home of their dreams.
