At a ceremony on January 19, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) named Traditions of America the "55+ Builder of the Year." Traditions of America took home a total of nine awards – four Gold and five Silver – for marketing, design and lifestyle excellence in the nation's most prestigious active adult housing awards competition.
Similar to some model units at senior living communities, guest homes at Traditions of America allow prospects to test drive the community before buying into it.
“Try Before You Buy” is the name one of its programs, which aims to make the decision to move easier for potential homeowners.
"The baby boom generation has been traveling their entire lives and staying in four-star hotels. They know what a spa bath looks like and they want to have it in their homes," said Timothy McCarthy, managing director of Traditions of America, a developer of active-adult housing communities in Pennsylvania.
Ask home owners at Traditions of America’s active adult communities for those age 55 and older in the Lehigh Valley what they like about the area and there will be more than 55 reasons given. However, it may be hard to get folks at Traditions of America at Hanover or Traditions of America at Bridle Path in Bethlehem to sit down and list those reasons. Six Hundred 55 and Over Home Buyers Attend Model Home Grand Opening Event at New Center Valley Community
A mid-October event at a 55+ community to showcase new model homes attracted 600 active adults from seven states – and led to 15 home sales following the celebration. Interest in Traditions of America at Saucon Valley was so strong that online RSVPs had to be suspended in order to ensure a successful experience for attendees.
